Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: April 27, 2026
ShieldBrief is a HexWarden Labs LLC product. We monitor accessibility across our own site as part of our normal engineering process — the same standards we ship as a service. This statement describes our conformance target, what we do, what we don’t claim, and how to flag a barrier.
1. Conformance target
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the public marketing site, the customer dashboard, and transactional emails.
2. What this looks like in practice
- Every deployment is tested with axe-core and pa11y — the same scanners we run for customers.
- Findings are triaged by severity (critical, serious, moderate, minor) and prioritized alongside production bugs.
- Manual review supplements scanner output on shipping interfaces, focusing on the judgment-based criteria that automated tools cannot evaluate.
3. Limitations and disclosure
Automated scanners detect approximately 57% of WCAG issues. The remaining ~43% require human review — including alternative-text quality, focus-order intent, and content sensibility. We do not claim full WCAG conformance, and we do not certify ADA compliance. ShieldBrief is a monitoring and remediation-guidance service; nothing in this statement constitutes legal advice or a guarantee.
4. Known issues
Open accessibility items on shield-brief.io — with severity, status, and target resolution — are published on our public accessibility log and updated as remediation lands.
5. Feedback
Encountered a barrier on shield-brief.io? Email accessibility@shield-brief.io with the page URL, browser and assistive technology you were using, and a description of what went wrong. We respond within five business days.
6. Assessment and review
This statement is reviewed quarterly and after material site changes. The most recent baseline scan was recorded on April 27, 2026.
